A Day At Barcis

What a great Mother's Day. When we asked Michelle what she wanted to do for the day, in typical introvert (I know most of you don't believe that) fashion, she said she simply wanted to hang with the family and go to beautiful Lake Barcis (only about 20 minutes from the house). So we all piled into the Cooper and off we went. The weather was perfect...not to hot, not too cold, and just enough cloud cover so you weren't squinting. We couldn't ask for anything more. We parked the car, unloaded and walk around this beautiful lake that's usually teeming with activity in the summer. On this beautiful day, it was very quiet. Of course, the girls wanted to put their feet in the water because Hailey swore they could swim in it because it was warm outside. If the water looks cold in the pictures, the pictures don't lie...it was cold. Anyway, the day was simply wonderful, and we topped it off by having a late lunch at the great restaurant located right on the water. After ordering a mezzo litre of Vino Rosso, and getting a fresh basket of bread, we really thought we'd died and gone to heaven. As we watched the girls play by the water and Bandit eat all the Italians scraps, we held up our glasses, toasted, and said, "It really doesn't get any better than this." Happy Mother's Day to everyone.
