Sultana's 100 Nights - Istanbul,Turkey

After the Blue Mosque, we rested for awhile and then decided to do something really cool. We signed up with our hotel to go to a place called "Sultanas" for dinner. It was one of those cool places where you pay a set price for food, entertainment, and dancing (if you're brave enough). The price for the evening included a ride to and from Sultanas. The party bus picked us up at 9:00 and we headed out. Hailey was dressed in her belly-dancing outfit ready to impress everyone at dinner. The evening was everything we expected that included belly dancers and folk dancers. At one point, both Michelle and I were on stage doing our part to impress the crowd of nearly 75 people. When it was all over, the bus picked us up and we got back to our hotel by 0030 in the morning. Both girls were champs and stayed up the whole evening.

The Harem was in the Ottoman Palace where the Sultan had access to hundreds of beautiful women, all looked after by his mother, the Sultana. These gorgeous ladies were from all over the world, often stranded within Ottoman borders after wars broke out and a cultural mix occurred.
